National Parks / Overlanding

The collective populous of the United States owns a host of land around the country that has been set aside, protected, just for us.  Many people have seen some of it, few have seen all of it.  As a citizen and owner, I want to se all of it.  As a father, I want to share it with my son.  On the ground, slowly, and over time. To do this, I practice what has come to be called overlanding – which is basically being self-sufficient in a vehicle that can access remote areas and get you back safely.  I write about the experiences in the parks and on the road, and about the other trips that test new equipment or result from having seen something I want to know more about
